What I'm Digging

Thought I'd share a compilation of some ideas, inspirations, music, videos, etc. that I'm digging lately:

What are you willing to do for $5?  Fiverr is a pretty cool idea where you can sell a service you're willing to do for $5 (or you can go and get some great things for $5).  Some people have been already making a living off of this website.

It's always lovely to find talented artists, and these young gals are indeed such artists - their live sessions (this video being one of them) are nearly equivalent to listening to The Civil Wars or Lissie live.  Their music is emotive, lyrics akin to ballads, and have great compelling harmonies backed with atmospheric rock instrumentals.  I also like that none of the girls act as lead vocalist, but seem to instead pick whose voice would best suit each song.

Ane Brun - Do You Remember

Brun's voice in this song is refreshingly unique, and the drum beat makes me wanna dance - kind of the same effect on me as a Florence + Machines song.  This song is a mix of folksy with melancholic lyrics.
The MV is interesting to watch as well; it weaves a story that's definitely more on the strange side, but that and the period clothing is part of what drew me to it.

A MV made with the Canon t2i (and good song to boot)
